As part of our PRO level subscription, you are able to customize the ordering of manufacturers on your line card, allowing your agency to have complete control of how manufacturers are displayed.
While our standard line card is ordered alphabetically, our custom ordering feature gives you the ability to select manufacturers to display first. Whether you have preferred manufacturers that you’d like to be shown at the top of your line card, or if you represent a major manufacturer and prefer their brands to be at the forefront – the choice is yours!
To customize the ordering of manufacturers on your line card, head over to the Administration dropdown on the left sidebar navigation within the portal, and click on Line Card Management.
From this screen, click on the ‘Manage Manufacturer Line Card Ordering’ button in the top right corner.
On the Manufacturer Ordering Configurations page, customize the ordering of the manufacturer search or choose a specific product category.
All Manufacturers Main Screen is where you can select the ordering of your manufacturer search. To reorganize within a category, choose the product type row from this page and click the ‘Add New’ button.
It’s important to note that the default ordering of manufacturers on the homepage line card will be alphabetical. For product category ordering, the default reflects manufacturers who’ve recently published content on the line card. To reorder, simply click the hamburger menu on each manufacturer tile and drag around the tile in the order of your choosing!
Don’t forget to save your changes at the top right of the screen when you’ve finished customizing!
You can edit the ordering at any time or restore to default settings from the Manufacturer Ordering Configurations page. If a category has not been customized, the ‘Restore Default Ordering’ button will not be present, indicating that a category is already in it’s default formation.
Please note that any new lines will appear at the bottom of the line card, if manufacturer ordering is no longer following the default ordering.
Custom ordering on your line card will show specifically on the Manufacturer Search option, allowing the Product Search to be customized in other ways, like highlighting products with our Agency Pick feature! Agency Pick products will be instantly showcased in their product type for your entire team and all of your Customers within The Lighting Exchange®.
